1. Detangle Gently
- Always brush before and after each use using a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush.
- Start from the ends and work your way up to prevent breakage.
- If the hair is curly or kinky, use your fingers or a wide-tooth comb instead of a fine brush.
2. Wash Occasionally (Not Too Often)
- Wash after every 10–20 wears or when product build-up is visible.
- Use sulfate-free shampoo (mild and moisturizing).
- Gently swish in lukewarm water — do not rub or twist.
- Rinse thoroughly.
3. Deep Condition
- Apply a moisturizing conditioner or deep treatment after every wash.
- Leave it on for 10–20 minutes, then rinse with cool water to lock in moisture.
- For curly or textured clip-ins, use a leave-in conditioner or curl cream after drying.
4. Air Dry or Blow Dry Carefully
- Pat dry with a towel — don’t rub.
- Let them air dry flat on a towel or mannequin head.
- If you must blow dry, use a heat protectant and a low heat setting.
5. Minimize Heat
- Avoid frequent flat ironing or curling.
- When styling, use heat protectant spray (e.g., Tresemmé Thermal Creations or CHI 44 Iron Guard).
6. Store Properly
- Store your clip-ins in a satin/silk bag or box, away from sunlight and dust.
- Ensure they’re completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
- Keep them laid flat or hanging to maintain their shape.
7. Hydrate Between Uses
- Spritz with a light leave-in conditioner or argan oil mist before wearing.
- Avoid heavy oils near the weft — it can loosen the clips or cause buildup.
